SATYA Shakti Foundation organized free health camps for people of Gujarat SATYA Shakti Foundation in association with SATYA MicroCapital Ltd. undertook a major initiative of organizing Free Mega Health Check-Up Drive with the noble purpose of creating public awareness for preventive healthcare and enabling a healthy society for people of Gujarat. Under this Mega Health Check-Up Drive, Health Camps were organized in Four villages located in the state of Gujarat. This initiative served around 400 people living in and around the villages of Nenpur, Choila, Umalla & Sukhsar and facilitated people with medical supervision from Certified Doctors. It also encouraged the beneficiaries to take care of their health and implement necessary lifestyle changes in accordance to prevailing pandemic conditions to live healthier lives. The day-long Health Check-Up camps were organized in the premises of nearby Temples and Panchayat Bhawan in respective areas under the guidance of doctors. People availed free health facilities entailing consultation from MBBS doctors for issues ranging from women health and child health to diet & nutrition, availing generic medicines, vitals check like hypertension test, blood pressure test etc. as well as counselling, during the health camp. Sharing humble thoughts on initiative, Shikha Sharma, Director & CEO, SATYA Shakti Foundation stated, “The health camp is one of the best ways of assisting people who require health attention, and we feel privileged to be able to conduct these free health camps. Considering the large turnout of people, we hope to organize many more such health camps in the future to enhance the overall health of the citizens. Also, I am thankful to Mr. Vivek Tiwari, MD, CIO & CEO, SATYA MicroCapital for supporting us in this initiative. I feel awestruck when I realize that SATYA is making extra efforts in serving humanity by providing healthcare checkup services apart from facilitating micro loans to those living on the bottom of the pyramid. I am also grateful to all the Doctors and Medical Fraternity for making this happen”. A visibly very happy participant remarked, “Such free health camps should be organized frequently, so that rural people can avail the benefits of preventive healthcare. I appreciate the choice of organizers for selecting the place of worship as the site for this health camp. Attending a health camp at a place of worship has bestowed enormous faith among us for assessing best medical facilities at our doorstep free of cost. These camps have certainly motivated people to stay proactive about their health and make preventive health check-ups a part of their lifestyle”
