Songadh: Renowned spiritual leader Morari Bapu has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Indian cricket team following their triumphant victory in the Champions Trophy.
Speaking during his ongoing Ram Katha at Songadh in Tapi district on Monday, he lauded the efforts of the players, the support staff, and the cricket board for their dedication and perseverance.
Expressing his joy over the victory, Morari Bapu said, “Our Indian cricket team has emerged victorious. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all the team leaders, members of the cricket board, team captain Rohit Sharma, and his entire squad. On behalf of the Vyaspeeth, I express my admiration and appreciation to them for this remarkable achievement.”
The revered spiritual leader also took a moment to acknowledge the New Zealand team, commending their sportsmanship and determination throughout the tournament.
“The New Zealand team put up a commendable fight. Winning or losing is part of the game, but their performance was truly praiseworthy. I extend my congratulations to them as well for playing exceptionally well,” he said.
The Indian cricket team defeated New Zealand in the final match of the Champions Trophy 2025 on Sunday by four wickets. Batting first, New Zealand scored 251 runs for the loss of seven wickets. In response, the Indian team scored 254 for the los of six wickets in 49 overs.
